From Delivery Driver To Domino’s Mogul: How One Franchisee Built A 160-Store Empire
Brian Bailey now oversees 160 Domino’s outlets spread across five states after a bold expansion in 2025 that added 45 locations in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma to his portfolio. His company, Team Bailey, is currently the largest Domino’s franchise operation in the nation, a dramatic rise from the modest beginnings that launched his career.
Bailey’s climb started when he took a job delivering pizza to tackle student debt. Within about two months he was promoted to manage a store, and by age 27 he had scraped together enough to buy his first franchise in Carlsbad, New Mexico. “I had almost nothing in the bank, but I knew I could build more than one store,” he told a trade magazine in a recent interview.
Rather than stepping away from the kitchen as his organization grew, Bailey still spends time on the line most weeks, a choice he credits with keeping him grounded and close to customer-facing operations. His growth playbook also emphasizes internal development: roughly half a dozen former employees have gone on to buy their own Domino’s units after training under his leadership.
Industry observers say Bailey’s trajectory illustrates how operators can scale by combining hands-on management, patient capital and talent development. One franchise consultant noted that moving from single-store ownership to dozens requires a shift toward finance, recruiting and systems — skills Bailey appears to have mastered. Locally, the expansion has meant steady jobs and new small-business owners in the communities where Team Bailey operates, and the company shows few signs of slowing down.
