The Colemans opened the business after a hands-on search for the right care setting for a family elder revealed how confusing the options can be for relatives.

When Anthony helped his father arrange living services for his grandmother, he saw how draining the process was for family members. He and his wife, Angela, later bought a CarePatrol franchise and today manage two offices serving North Central and eastern parts of Ohio. They’re approaching a decade as franchise operators.

Running more than one location, they say, depends less on charisma than on clear procedures. The couple points to careful hiring, regular staff education and routine performance checks to make sure families receive the same attention no matter which office they visit. They’ve built checklists and communication habits that let supervisors monitor cases across both territories.

Local demographic shifts have pushed more families into these decisions. A geriatric care consultant contacted for perspective said professional placement assistance can cut weeks off decision time and ease family tensions. And the Colemans add that prospective franchisees should examine their motives: if helping others really matters, the work can be deeply rewarding; if not, it’s a tough fit.
